Creating and Designing a new magazine - This project’s brief asked to define a target audience, use a bilingual typographic index, create a graphic identity that matches the magazine and target audience’s character, curate visual materials and texts, image making ect.
I chose to create a magazine that deals with being single - a sarcastic and humorous magazine that laughs at itself, in which the purpose is putting the less glamorous parts of being single into the spotlight - bringing different subjects and stories about everyday life.

This specific issue deals with food and singles’ meals, microwave TV dinners and half assed meals made of anything left over in the fridge.
The issue is largely based on posts and pictures from the facebook group “Singles cooking together”. I took visual inspiration from competing magazines, like Sybaris, Lucky Peach, The Gourmand, Compound Butter, Toilet Paper, Club Sandwich, Put an Egg on it, etc.
The visual language of the magazine stayed exaggerated and authentic to its core audience, much like the food itself.
